No more asparagus falling through the grates of the grill. Works great on rings of onion too.

Thank you so much for this, had these once while eating out, they were fantastic. About how long does it take to grill them? Must make these, they were so good and still crunchy.

This recipe rocks! I use the oven to roast asparagus witht he same ingredients, but have grilled them when cooking there. So delicious - thank you! Got my five!

I love aspargus grilled. It is delicious. The raft thing looks so cute too! Guests are always impressed. I find I break a lot of asparagus stalks if I buy the super skinny ones. I recommend those with some width, but not too tough to pierce the stalk with the skewer. I also will drizzle these with a squeeze of lemon to brighten the flavor. Great post.

Nice!! thanks for the help, love it on the grill but always loose some and thay cost too much for that! Thanks

Jmbelb, If you have trouble with them on the grill, you could always put them in a casserole dish and broil them in the oven, which is kind of like an upside-down grill. However, the skewer method is brilliant! Yay!

Great tip! Now I won't loose any. Also I'll never forget the first time I used wooden skewers, I forgot to soak them....ugg splinter city!

This is my absolute favorite way to make asparagus. Metal skewers work just fine, too!
