How to make it

  • Slice oranges in half. Using a spoon, scoop out all the flesh and divider pith. Reserve.
  • In a medium bowl, add Jello and 1/2 cup boiling water. When Jello has dissolved, add vodka.
  • Pour liquid Jello into orange halves. Refrigerate for approximately 4 hours, or until firm.
  • To serve, slice each half into 3 wedges. REMEMBER, YOU ARE SERVING SOLID BOOZE.

I always have room for more jello (shots that is). When my 15 girl friends and I go away for a weekend every year we make over 100 all different kinds. In fact we are going on such a weekend in a couple of weeks. I am making these for sure. Thanks and cheers! MJ

Oh what a fun idea! I had seen kid versions of cantaloupe & jello done this way, but I like the adult version so much better.
