How to make it

  • Preheat broiler
  • Line bottom of broiler pan with foil
  • Spray top with cooking spray
  • Toss wings in oil, then salt and pepper
  • In single layer, put chicken on broiler rack
  • Broil 4-5 inches from heat, turning over after 10 minutes and cook for 10 more minutes
  • Add remaining ingredients to food processor and blend until smooth
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat in small saucepan for one minute, constantly stirring
  • Brush 1/4 cup of sauce onto chicken and broil 2-3 more minutes
  • Turn wings over and brush with another 1/4 cup of sauce and broil 2-3 more minutes
  • Brush with remaining sauce before serving

    I tried this but with mango instead and it was great! I substituted a whole mango and a can of mango nectar for the apricot preserves and 2 diced habenero peppers instead of the cayenne and put those and the lime juice, the garlic, and the cumin in the food processor and added about 2-3 tbl sugar to the mixture when it was boiling and a little bit of cornstarch slurry to thicken it up. Thanks for the great recipe!

    This looks good... im definately going to try this. I love chicken wings and living in Milan,its virtually impossible to find some EXTREMELY HOT wings.. but ill try this one for my Italian friends. Thanks much!

    Hey! This sounds good! There is a BBQ sauce I make with either apricot preserves or peach preserves. Yummy! I haven't gotten the calculations yet on how much of the ingredients but when I do, you'll know.
