Gooey Cheese Bread Recipe

How to make it

  • Slice bread in half lengthwise. Remove top. Mix together all of the ingredients. Spread mixture thickly and evenly over bottom half of bread Cover with top half of bread. Wrap bread completely with foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until well melted. Cut into serving size pieces.

    Hi Dipblue, I made this recipe for dinner. (I also tried to comment and add a photo earlier, but apparently it didn't upload. Neither did my previous comment, so I'll try again!) It was yummy! I used 1/4 lb Swiss and 1/4 lb medium cheddar. The kids weren't home, so I actually got to take a photo of it! I had two photos that were closer up and showed the yummy gooey cheese, but those were both blurry. I added the one that came out the clearest. It was really good! I'm going to try another cheese next time and another herb. I used Basil from my garden and put a little too much in it (Oops.) I didn't measure the basil, just clipped it into the cheese mix.

    This will be a fun one to experiment with! Thanks for posting it!
