How to make it

  • Bake your cupcakes and let them cool.
  • Frost with white frosting .
  • In a bowl, mix coconut and green food coloring until the coconut is green .
  • Cover the frosted cupcake tops with green coconut, so that it looks like grass on top.
  • Add Marshmallow Chicks, Jelly Beans and any other FUN Easter Candy that you would like.
  • Insert the pipe cleaner, as an upside down ā€œUā€ to each side of the cupcake to create your basket handle.
  • Tie a ribbon on the top of the handle and you have an Easter Basket Cupcake!

    Great recipe! Kids sure do love cheerfully decorated anything, especially cupcakes. These are great for any easter party or egg hunt get together. This is a great recipe for all moms and dads or anyone in the field of work dealing with children. Of course, many of us adults appreciate a great, cheery, happy cupcake once in a while ourselves.     Henrie,we are 2 peas in a pod. Are you my twin? I have been making these cupcakes every year for Easter for my kids classrooms at school for almost 25 years! And I have 8 kids! That's a LOT of cupcakes! They are so cute though! Thanks for the memories. And YES I will be making them again this year for my 1st. and 4th. graders!
