My Grandpas Favorite meat Loaf

- 1 (16-oz.) can tomato paste shopping list
- 1/2 cup cold water shopping list
- 1/2 cup dry red wine shopping list
- 1 tsp. minced garlic shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano shopping list
- 1/4 tsp, salt shopping list
- 12 oz. ground lean beef shopping list
- 12 oz. ground turkey shopping list
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/2 cup shredded zucchini shopping list
- 1 large egg, beaten shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine tomato paste, water, red wine, minced garlic, basil, oregano and salt into a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce the heat to low. Simmer uncovered 15 minutes. Set aside.
- combine Turkey and beef, bread crumbs, shredded zucchini, beaten egg and 1/2 reserved tomato mixture in large bowl. Mix well.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf place in a 9x5" loaf pan. Bake meat loaf for 45 minutes.
- Discard the drippings from pan. Pour remaining tomato mixture over top of the meat loaf.
- Bake an additional 15 minutes.
- Place meat loaf om serving platter. Let cool slightly, about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Sounds wonderful! I don't know which would be the most tasty, the first day or the second with it in a sandwich ;) One thing for sure on any day - YUM!
