How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine tomato paste, water, red wine, minced garlic, basil, oregano and salt into a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce the heat to low. Simmer uncovered 15 minutes. Set aside.
  • combine Turkey and beef, bread crumbs, shredded zucchini, beaten egg and 1/2 reserved tomato mixture in large bowl. Mix well.
  • Shape the meat mixture into a loaf place in a 9x5" loaf pan. Bake meat loaf for 45 minutes.
  • Discard the drippings from pan. Pour remaining tomato mixture over top of the meat loaf.
  • Bake an additional 15 minutes.
  • Place meat loaf om serving platter. Let cool slightly, about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
