Ingredients

How to make it

  • Puree whole tomatillos in processor. Strain through sieve set over bowl, pressing firmly on solids to yield 1 cup juice. Discard solids.
  • Mix salt and sugar into juice.
  • Mix in garlic and chile -- let stand 1 minute. Discard garlic and chile.
  • **NOTE 2: Tomatillo mixture can be made 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate.
  • Stir tequila and Maggi Seasoning into tomatillo mixture.
  • Fill 4 tall glasses with ice.
  • Pour mixture over. Garnish each with cilantro and radish.

    Oh honey I'm so SORRY! I meant to give this a 5 but I hit the second fork by accident! Now I can't undo it :( So darned clumsy of me!!! Please forgive me - I feel awful about it and it's such a beauty of a recipe too! *sigh*

    OMG, I'm so glad I stumbled on this one! I LOVE trad bloody mary's but this version is a must try and I have a feeling I'm gonna love this one even more!! How can I not when it sounds so awesome and looks positively gorgeous. Hubby and I are gonna get silly on this (Friday night) right after the scallop cakes *wicked grin* Thank you GF for a terrific post.

    You really know your stuff, when it comes to tequila.
    I grow Tomatillo's last year I grew the verde and a purple variety. This year I will only grow the green.

    I can not wait for this years crop so I can try this wonderful recipe.

    wow this is different, it is a MUST try. It sure is a twist to the way we are use to mixing drinks. I guess that when it comes to mix drinks you can also get creative. This sure is creativity. Thanks for sharing.
