How to make it

  • Preheat oven to the directions on the puff pastry box. Cut your puff pastry into 5x5 inch squares.
  • Go over pastry slightly with a rolling pin to even out thickness, be sure not to roll to much thinner.
  • Place each square into a non-stick cupcake pan, it does not have to be pressed into the pan.
  • Taking a regular teaspoon, place a mound of Nutella, about 2 Tbsp each, into the center of each square.
  • Take your chopped nuts and divide evenly into each individual pastry.
  • Take the corners of each pastry and fold down over the chocolate and nut center, and pinch together to seal.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Filling will be HOT so make sure to let cool for 10-15 minutes before biting into the pastry!

    Looking online for something yummy, landed here. I'm a mom of 4, 6 year old 5 year old twin 15 month olds and 17 weeks pregnant. This hit the spot! After I tried it your way I tried mixing nutella with chunky peanut butter, then mixed with bananas! AWESOME. 5/5

    Should have taken a before bake pic. Set them on top of the muffin hole and as they baked, slid down into the hole.

    Told mother to wait for them to cool but she is devouring them even before I get all the pics posted. Hope I get to taste one.

    Are you sure it is 3/4c nuts? That is a whole lot of nuts! I didn't use that much, just sprinkled what I thought was a goodly portion of nuts onto each pastry. Used 2 sheets to make 8 pastries and still have half the nuts left over.
    In the oven now. If they come out well I'll take a picture for you.

    OMG that sounds so yummie, I love Nutella it's so creamy and smooth. I can eat it straight from the jar with a spoon. Bet it would be good if you used some peanut butter in place of the nuts for a change in pace too. I'll be making these that's for sure, you have my 5. What a great post, thank you so much for sharing your creation.
