How to make it

  • Combine pancake mix, milk, corn, egg and oil.
  • Stir in SPAM.
  • Pour 1/3 cup of batter on greased fryin' pan and cook over medium heat until browned on bottom.
  • Turn over and brown other side.
  • Serve with maple syrup!

    Wow, I found the pics of this on fizzle3nat's page, and I thought...spam in a pancake? Definitely different and next time I have a can of spam...I'm making these.

    And you are right, Spam is big in Hawaii. My favorite movie, 50 First Dates with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore takes place in Hawaii. And you see Spam everywhere. The cook at the diner even offers to make him scrambled eggs with Spam and Reece's. LOL

    I made these for dinner the other night. Both my husband and myself HATE creamed corn, but I put it in anyway because the first time I try a recipe I ALWAYS make it as written, then decide if I want/need to make any changes.     More spam is eaten in Hawaii than any place else. I love to cut Spam about 3/16 thick and pan fry until it has brown or black on eadges. Spam is great. Glad to you like it. JJ

    Spam Spam Spam!! My Great Aunt Lena would have a big can of Spam with a key to unroll the can!! They don't make those anymore! What memories!!
