I made this tonight.. it was so good! I did cheat a bit though by using canned lentils and instant brown rice. LOL... i know... bad, hey? But it turned out well! I added in a bit of cumin seed to the sauteed/caramelized onions too just for a bit of a smokey background flavour. It was great!

I was going to make this tonight but found out i was out of Lentils, what a bummer. In Jordan they commonly use coarse Burghul ... but I like it better with rice, it's also known as poor people food ...hahaha... because it's cheap and easy to make... it's good with plain yogurt or a salad ...
