By the way, just for another laugh....my dad's family raised piglets when he was little and he told me the ONLY thing a pig won't eat is a tomato!!! Guess we know we aren't pigs, at least!! :)

HMMMMMMM I've had fried half-green tomatoes but not ripe one. The ingredients sound interesting.
I think I might be able to find a couple of extra tomatoes for this!
Thanks for sharing.

I just made these and they were very good! I made these exactly as written except I used 4 slicing tomatoes instead of 6 roma tomatoes. The breading fried up nice and crispy! It only took 1 minute on each side, with medium heat. I drizzled them with my homemade Italian dressing. I highly recommend doing this because it adds another dimension of flavor! I think I'll use this breading to fry other foods because it has such a good crunch to it! I included a photo!:)

Wow, that IS a nice picture...I've never tried frying ripe tomatoes either, but I will now - that breading sounds great, wynne!! Now if ripe tomato season would only get here (guess we have to wait for the snow to stop first...). Thanks, wynne - and thanks, Lillian, for showcasing this one in the I Made It group so I could find it! ~ Krum
