I love this dish, I use bulghur wheat (medium) and add 1/2 of a sweet onion chopped fine. Also it's great if you get flour tortillas, make tuna fish salad add the tuna to the tortilla and the taboulee on top and fold up like a burrito.

OK! For all those who have asked me, Groats can sometimes be found under the name "Bourgul".You should be able to find it at most good Health stores or Mediterranean, Middle eastern or ethnic food stores

Hooked on phonics? No offense -- It's okay to spell things the way they sound, but this sounds to me a lot like classic Tabouli made from bulgur (cracked wheat)and is one of my favorite things. Bonjody

Hi oasisntn! In a package there are usually about 12-15 stalks . The Mint and Parsley are the main ingredients so there can never be too much! Ronny

I Looove Tabouli. I fix it with bulgar but I'll bet that groats (Burghul) is easier to find. I'll try it next time I fix it. My wife loves it more than I do so I can't go too long without making it.
