How to make it

  • Combine coconut milk, chicken stock and galangal in a pan, lemon grass, lemon leaves, tomatoes and coriander root and celery. Bring to boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add chicken pieces, simmer for another 10 minutes or til chicken are cook though.
  • Stir in fish sauce, lemon juice, green onion and chilli. When done pour in a serving bowl, top with cilantro and red roasted pepper and it ready to serve can be serve with rice or as soup.

    I have a thai grocery store down the street, so finding things like galangal and lemongrass just got a lot easier. Can't wait to try it!

    This looks yummy and easy. Have most of the ingredients,except for lemon leaves. Not sure where to get those here in Canada.Thanks for the post. We all love Thai food.

    I usually judge a thai restaurant by two things - how good their yellow curry is and how good their Tom Ka Gai soup is - this looks a lot simpler than I imagined it would be, I look forward to trying it.
