- 2 cucumbers, peel removed and sliced as thinly as possible in rounds shopping list
- 1 white onion, sliced very thinly in rings or half rings shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup white vinegar shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Slice cucumbers, place in bowl and salt. Press a saucer down on the cucumbers and let sit for 2 hours, pressingly firmly and draining once in awhile. This will remove any bitterness from the cucumbers and also remove excess water.
- Once cucumbers have been drained for 2 hours, add the onions, sour cream and vinegar to the bowl and mix. Salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate for several hours to blend flavours and serve cold.

This was the only way my mother would eat cucumbers. I will eat them any way I get them but this is the next way I'm doing cucumbers! You made me hungry too!
