I don't use water in mine, just the milk and maybe some vanilla yogurt or ice cream.
I like it with lots of ice, enough to give you a good brain freeze.

This is one of my favorite recipes! I included this almost exact recipe in a work cookbook many years ago. It's nice for breakfast on a hot summer morning!

Actually Orange Julius (the company) now belongs to Dairy Queen. And in some areas DQs are hard to find. Years ago, I worked one summer when I was in High School making these things. I also love to put ice cream in sometimes and make it more of a smoothie.

Oh, I remember these, too. I think I can count on three fingers how many I ever got as a kid. Now I can make them whenever! It tastes about like I remember. Thanks!

This was so good. My husband likes them a little thicker, so I add just a few more icecubes for his. My kids had never had one before, and they loved it!!!

First time I ever had this was when I was in 6th grade, 13 years ago. I use to make it all the time after the fact. I had lost the recipe so I am glad I ran across this site and found it here. I am in heaven now!
