Thats Just Peachy Cobbler Supreme

- ¼ to 1/2 cup butter (do not substitute!) shopping list
- 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 2/3 cup milk shopping list
- 1 29 oz. Can sliced peaches, do not drain (I use a quart of my own canned peaches in light syrup, so I am guesstimating on the store bought) shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- ½ teaspoon lemon peel shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in a 7 x 11-inch shallow baking dish.
- Sift together dry ingredients; add milk and stir well.
- Pour this mixture into the baking dish.
- Do not stir.
- Top with peaches, including juice.
- Combine nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar and lemon peel together in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle this over peaches, but do not stir.
- Bake in 350-degree oven 40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with cream or vanilla bean ice cream.
- Serves 6 to 8.
- A surprise cobbler batter rises to the top during cooking and forms a golden crust
