Ingredients
  • 4-6 lbs beef, pork, chicken or turkey with our without bones.
  • 1 T liquid smoke per lb of meat
  • salt and fresh ground pepper

Directions
  1. Season meat with salt and pepper
  2. Place in slow cooker sprayed with no stick spray.
  3. Pour over liquid smoke.
  4. Cook on low until meat is done, depending on type of meat and size, this should take 4-6 hours.
  5. Shred or pull apart meat and serve in a variety of ways. As is on hard rolls, with BBQ sauce if you've smoked ribs, add chicken or turkey to rice, burritos, etc., or use to make a cold smoky chicken salad.
  6. *also, the liquid produced is a nice smoky stock for soups or to use in place of water for cooking rice.
