How to make it

  • Beat together orange honey butter ingredients until well blended. Set aside.
  • In pie plate or pan, beat eggs then slowly add half and half and whisk together.
  • Add zest, nutmeg and vanilla.
  • Melt 2T butter in skillet.
  • Dip 4 croissant halves into egg mixture and cook in skillet over medium heat for 4 minutes each side(only turn once).
  • Repeat as needed with remaining butter and bread.
  • Serve with dollop of orange honey butter and dust with powdered sugar, if desired.

    This looks and sounds so good! I like the idea of making your own "honey butter." And yes, I agree with JJM...fattening but delicious!
