Wonderful recipe. Consider a tall tubular glass, with just enough room for the cubes to tumble around in. That will produce a larger volume of glass to frost, sweat and drip. That is the only improvement I would suggest to an already flawless recipe and presentation.

Tip: I recently replaced my plastic fridge water bottle with glass and was amazed at the improvement in taste.

I would add some lime to it

The only way this would taste any better would be fresh cold spring water right out of the ground in Tennessee served in a tin cup or ladle. Now THAT's a drink of water!

Wait, wait, wait...I'm havin' trouble with this recipe...where do you get the "ice cold water"? Every time I try to get it to that stage, it just turns TO ice, and then I'm stuck. So, here I sit with frozen water all around, plenty of ice, but no "ice cold" water with which to continue the recipe. It's eluding me, but I have faith I'll get it...it didn't take me TOO long to figure out the "soft ball" stage for candy making, and I was born understanding the difference between water dancing on hot oil and just sputtering for frying...but, so far, this has me stumped...Help, Ronny...or,anyone!

THAT GLASS OF WATER RECIPE WAS GOOD. BUT IT ALWAYS TASTES GREAT WHEN YOU ARE VERY TASTY. WATER IS BETTER THAN COLA ANY WAY.

I've been making this for years. It's a favorite in our house.

Nothing quenches the thirst of being made of 60% to 78% water better than a tall cool glass of water! I like my glass of water filled with ice and then cold water run over the cubes!! Remember, if you are thirsty...parched, you are already dehydrated, and nothing hydrates you like water!! (everything else will dehydrate you!!!) (I'll get off my soap box now thank you.)

This inspired me to make a glass of room temperature water with a lime wedge. a bit of a variation on your recipe but great if you have sensitive teeth. i find it brings out the flavor better... if you're lucky enough to live in New York the tap water is great!! don't be afraid... love it.
also you left out one step:
smack your lips loudly and say "AAAAAAAAHHHHH"

Living down here in the south with the Muggy, Sticky substance they call air. That water feels good as it's being poured over your head and slowly running down your chest and back, becoming steam before it reaches your waist.
As far as drinking it, you can't enjoy it until you cool off a bit to drink it.

I was passing thru, saw what looked like "A Glass of Water Recipe" and had to double back. After reading it, I had to get up, walk into my kitchen, and add FOUR cubes of ice to my glass of water! Once I returned to my seat & got comfortable again, I read the comments as I sipped.
This was truly precious & priceless. Thanks for the smile (Ronnymarcus) & the chuckles (especially you, keni)!

sweetlilium 1 year, 2 months ago said:
The local tap water is so gross. For it to be clean water, they have to dump lots of chlorine and other chemicals in it. And then they have to make it a little dirty so it can be safe enough to drink. xD
My favorite ice water recipe is from Sonic's. Their crushed ice is to die for.

Darn, I’ve secretly been working on developing this very same recipe. I just didn't quite have it perfected yet. I had been testing putting the water in the glass first and then adding the ice. It tasted good but I the crackling sound of the ice was different when the water hit the cubes. I had not decided which way produced the best results when I found this post. Foiled again!
You’re not by any chance working on a How to Boil Water recipe are you? That is my next project.
