Sounds good enough to eat. I never imagined beans in a sweet pie. But it is worth a try....Cheryl

LOOKS LIKE IT WOULD BE GOOD.I'M GOING TO TRY THIS ONE......

I believe this would be quite nice. Beans have a taste and consistency that I could see it working successfully in a sweet dish.

Bean pies are really good. I never really knew what type of beans were used tho'. Thanks for sharing.

This sound like a healthy pie! Very interesting using Navy beans. Must be a southern thing. And I love southern cooking so when I get the chance I am going to try this pie.

Gosh, haven't had bean pie since I was a kid...never saw the Navy beans in it tho, Mom used pintos. That one is called 'mock pecan' sometimes, different recipe. This one sounds great!

In the area in which I live these are very popular I grew up eating them. They are wonderful! When my kids went to college and told the their friends about them (who thought it very strange),they were asked to bring them to school. It was an immediate hit, they used them to study by:)
