Thanks! Take'5'
It is not enough that it is EVOO , It should also say on the bottle, "cold compress"
Some oil producers apply heat to the olives to extract more oil. This process reduces the Quality of the oil,(but what do they care?) .
Only buy oil that says :
Extra Virgin & cold compress.
Pure olive oil is dark green in colour, Don't buy yellow or brown.
To check if olive oil has been mixed with anything else or any other oil, simply put it in the fridge. Olive oil hardens in the fridge. If only part of it hardens , then the other part is another oil.
With all its wonderful uses in cooking and salads, Olive oil is not good at high temperatures. For that you should find a substitute.

Thank you so much for healthy alternatives for the outside of our bodies.
Maybe the father in 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' should've used olive oil instead of Windex for everything!! lol

My mother has always used olive oil for beauty and taught me to do so as well. It works. She looks the youngest out of all of her friends and some of them are even younger than her!
Big 5 for you!

Whew! I think I touched a nerve! LOL Thank you all for your responses. I'm glad I could help. Thanks Ronnymarcus for your tip. I agree, cold pressed preserves the best in the oil.

Also- discover coconut oil. I use it everyday on my face and I have reversed the aging process. Also it is safer to fry with than olive oil. I have done a lot of studying on this and have switched to coconut oil. Still use olive oil for foods with indirect heat. Can't beat the flavor.
