Hot Artichoke Toasts Recipe
Party Fare! These toasted little pary ryes hold the spread and are topped with an artichoke and baked.

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 tsp W-shire sauce
  • dash salt & pepper
  • party rye bread
  • canned artichokes, quarters, well drained

Directions
  1. Mix the first 4 ingredients with salt and pepper.
  2. Toast the slices of party rye bread.
  3. Spread the mixture over the bread slices.
  4. Top each bread with a piece of artichoke
  5. Broil till bubbly and just beginning to brown.

This reminds me of the artichoke dip that was so popular back in the 1980s. Sounds great!

I used to love this dip before I became a vegan. But I think I can veganize the recipe fairly easily by using grape-oil "Veganaise" instead of mayo, and soy Parmesan cheese. I will omit the W-shire sauce though since it has anchovies in it. Perhaps some soy sauce will take it's place - yummm.


This looks very good and a tasty variation of the artichoke dip!
