The recipe for these is from a 1959 Farm Journal's Country Cookbook. I make them often, especially around the Thanksqiving/X-mas holidays.

Love the name! My Grandmother used to make a date roll around the holidays.
This sounds really yummy! Thanks!

What a pretty and lovely idea. I'm printing this for next time I want to prepare a platter of cookies. I like to do a few recipes and arrange them and these will be a super addition.
Thanks!!

This one looks so familiar and oh so yummy. Is it jewish? I had alot of expert jewish cooks around me as a child, most of what I ate back then I vaguely remember because I was so drugged out on the great food.LOL (dude, is that a kreplach on your head?)
