tequila

limes

lemon

coke

seven up

drambuie

grenadine

crmeme de cacao

Directions

The Mexican way......suck of lime, drink the tequila straight, lick salt from the back of the hand or follow it with a chaser of sangria.

The submarine.... a shot of tequila dropped into beer.

Jaws.... tequila, creme de cassis and lime.

After dinner..... gold tequila mixed 50-50 with Drambuie.

With Coke or with 7-up and a squeeze of lemon.

Gold tequila with equal parts of orange juice and 7 up.

A Silk Stocking...... a shot of white tequila with 1 ounce white creme de cacao, 2 ounces of evaporated milk and 1 ounce of grenadine, sprinkled with cinnamon.....

I like this, and actually there is one more way that I know of. In Mexico I had what is called tequila sangrada (bloody tequila) and it is tomato juice and tequila.

I've only tried tequila as a shot with the lemon/salt, or in margaritas, or some expensive "sippin' tequila" that my brother-in-law once served me from his freezer (that was some wicked good stuff!)...I like your train of thought here, though - I need to learn some new ways with tequila...it might cure this bronchitis for all I know - I'll experiment and let you know how it all turns out (if I can find the computer after the experiment...)...lovin' this post!

The origin of the Salt and Lime was a supposed remedy for Influeza. I prefer a nice plato, silver tequila, un-messed around with, no chilling or fruiting up, just straight, no chaser. Try Don Eduardo or Don Julio, Silver, the way they should be.
