Four Layer Delight Recipe
This dessert is light rich delicious and sooooo easy to eat too much. Easily made ahead.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cool whip
  • 2 small pkg instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 cups milk
  • coolwhip

Directions
  1. Melt the butter.
  2. Add the flour, sugar and most of the nuts. (save a few for garnishing at the end)
  3. Press into a 9 x 13 and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool.
  4. Cream together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and cup of cool whip.
  5. Spread this mixture over the cooled crust and chill in the frig.
  6. Mix together the instant pudding and milk for 2 minutes. Spread over the second layer. Cool.
  7. Last layer - top with cool whip and sprinkle with nuts. Serve well chilled.

This has always been one of my fav desserts. Mom always made it for family get-togethers. I know it's a 5!


This reminds me of a recipe my mom makes-very similar and so delicious. We usually make it with chocolate pudding, but have also substituted lemon pudding. Great recipe to post!
