Prosciutto Roasted Figs
From luisascatering 15 years agoIngredients
- 40 small fresh mission figs shopping list
- 8 ounces Manchego (or blue) cheese shopping list
- 20 slices prosciutto, halved lengthwise shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Snip stems from figs. Cut the fig in half, but not all the way through, then cut the other half again to open it up. Stuff a date-size piece of cheese in the opening and press sides back up together to almost close.
- Wrap a piece of prosciutto around each to enclose like a little cocoon. Stand the figs on a sheet pan. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes so the prosciutto melts slightly and forms a skin around the figs.
- These are terrific hot or at room temperature.

I love Tyler, too. I actually had something similar at Embrujo Flamenco ( it is a tapas restaurant in Toronto that has a Flamenco show, too). Delicious! Thank you for posting the recipe.
