Dog Dip Recipe

No idea why it's called Dog Dip, but it's sure tasty despite the name. Try it on hot dogs, too. It makes a great topping, kind of like a 'gourmet' chili-cheese dog.... Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef

1 can chili with or without beans (I usually use with beans)

1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese

1 - 4 oz. can diced green chiles

1 - 4 oz. can sliced black olives, drained

3 - 4 sliced scallions (green onions)

1 small jar salsa, whatever heat level you prefer (I use medium, and it's best with salsas that are not sweet)

Directions

Brown ground beef in saucepan; drain.

Mix in remaining ingredients and heat through in saucepan or transfer to crockpot and keep warm on low setting.

Serve with tortilla chips, or pour over hot dogs in buns.

I found a similar recipe a few years ago and they suggested serving it in a brand new dog food dish because it sort of looks like dog food. It would be a fun dish to serve around April Fools day.

I made this for the 2nd time yesterday, for a family party. Everybody loved it, and I gave the recipe out to a couple of people. SO good, and so easy - my favorite combination!
