Jetts Party Coffee Cake

My mother's recipe for a delicious coffee cake that she would serve at her bridge parties on Wednesdays. We would be excited on Wednesdays because we knew we would get the leftovers!....If there was anything left!
Ingredients
- Cream - 1/2 lb(2 sticks) of butter and 1 Cup sugar shopping list
- Mix well shopping list
- Add - 3 eggs - 1 at a time; beating well after each addition shopping list
- Beat in 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- Add 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour* shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder* shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda* shopping list
- *Sift the dry ingredients 3 times* shopping list
- Blend in 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice with 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 teaspoon almond flavoring. shopping list
- While cake is beating; prepare the filling** shopping list
- *Filling* shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups chopped toasted pecans shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon shopping list

- Grease 8 x 12 inch pan and spread half of the batter(Moisten hand with water and spread evenly) shopping list
- Sprinkle half of nut mixture filling then spoon on remaining batter and top with nut mixture. shopping list
How to make it
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes
