Ingredients

8 country style pork spare ribs

1 (2 liter) bottle Dr. Pepper, NOT diet

5 garlic cloves, slightly smashed

1 tbsp. liquid smoke

1 large onion, quartered

your favorite barbecue sauce

Directions

1. Place ribs in large stock pot. Pour Dr. Pepper over ribs to cover. Add garlic, liquid smoke and onion. Bring to boil, lower to simmer and cook until ribs are tender.

2. Place ribs in baking pan. Pour barbecue sauce oner ribs. Bake at 350 F. for about 30 to 45 minutes.

Made a stack of these ribs for Super Bowl Sunday...They were easy and filled the house with a great smell as they were cooking....They ended up as tender as can be and had a fantastic flavour....Would give these a '10' on the scale, if possible!!!
