Ingredients
  • 8 country style pork spare ribs
  • 1 (2 liter) bottle Dr. Pepper, NOT diet
  • 5 garlic cloves, slightly smashed
  • 1 tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 large onion, quartered
  • your favorite barbecue sauce

Directions
  1. 1. Place ribs in large stock pot. Pour Dr. Pepper over ribs to cover. Add garlic, liquid smoke and onion. Bring to boil, lower to simmer and cook until ribs are tender.
  2. 2. Place ribs in baking pan. Pour barbecue sauce oner ribs. Bake at 350 F. for about 30 to 45 minutes.

What's liquid smoke? - besides ummm "smoke on the water I had in College?" Thanks - is it a hot sauce? This sounds great, I'd really like to try it, especially since country ribs have so much meat while being affordable.
