Sticky Toffee Pudding With Vanilla Sauce

- 1-CUP water shopping list
- 1 -CUP CHOPPED dates shopping list
- 1- TEASPOON baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 - CUP butter shopping list
- 1 - CUP sugar shopping list
- 2 - eggs shopping list
- 1- CUP all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2- TEASPOON vanilla extract shopping list
- ******************* SAUCE **************** shopping list
- 3/4 - CUP GRANULATED dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1/3- CUP heavy cream shopping list
- 1/2 - TEASPOON vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 - CUP butter shopping list
How to make it
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 DEGREES F.
- BRING THE WATER AND DATES TO A BOIL IN A SMALL SAUCEPAN.
- AS SOON AS THEY BOIL, REMOVE FROM THE HEAT AND STIR IN THE BAKING SODA.
- LEAVE TO COOL SLIGHTLY.
- IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL, CREAM TOGETHER THE BUTTER AND SUGAR.
- GRADUALLY ADD IN THE EGGS.
- FOLD IN THE FLOUR AND STIR IN THE DATES WITH THEIR LIQUID.
- STIR IN THE VANILLA AND BUTTER.
- POUR INTO AN 8X11 INCH BAKING PAN, AND BAKE FOR 45 MINUTES.OR UNTIL BROWNED AND FIRM.
- REMOVE FROM HEAT AND LET IT COOL DOWN SOME .
- TO MAKE THE SAUCE, PLACE ALL OF THE SAUCE INGREDIENTS INTO A SMALL SAUCEPAN.
- MIX AND BRING TO A BOIL, STIRRING CONSTANTLY.
- SIMMER FOR 3 MINUTES.
- WHEN THE PUDDING IS JUST WARM, SPREAD WITH A THICK COATING OF THE SAUCE AND COOL TO ROOM TEMPERTURE.
- SERVE........... YIELDS 10 - 12 SERVINGS
