Chicken With Creamy Herb Sauce Recipe

I know what your thinking.... Another chicken with cream sauce.... I have to put this one in as its so elegant and has lots of flavor....This will please any company....

Ingredients
- 6 skinned, boned chicken breasts
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 garlic cloves, unpeeled
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 3 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Arrange chicken in a single layer baking dish.
- Pour vinegar over chicken and sprinkle with oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
- Place garlic cloves in dish.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes, basting occasionally with pan drippings.
- Remove garlic from dish and peel.
- Place garlic in a bowl, and mash into a paste.
- Add buttermilk and next 6 ingredients; stir with a wire whisk until well blended.
- Cut each breast diagonally across the grain into thin slices.
- Then pour herbsauce over chicken slices.
