Quick Holiday Cheese Dip Recipe

Ingredients

1 stick butter

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 cup sliced green onions

1 cup sour cream

8 oz. cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/4 cup Frank's hot sauce

2 (8 oz) packages shredded cheddar cheese(any variety)

4 oz. shredded Parmesan cheese

1 small can chopped black olives

Directions

Saute garlic in butter until lightly browned.

Mix together cream cheese, garlic butter, green onions, sour cream, pepper, 8 oz of the shredded cheddar, Parmesan cheese,and hot sauce.

Spoon into casserole or oven prof serving dish.

Spread black olives and remaining cheese over top.

Sprinkle with parsley and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Serve with assorted chips, crackers, or chunks of toasted French or Italian bread .

* As an added treat, spread bread with garlic butter and run under broiler until lightly browned before serving with cheese dip.

This recipe got so many raves during Thanksgiving! I thought everyone was going to stuff themselves before dinner was even served. I have had three calls for the recipe since then. Gosh, if I knew that was all I needed for dinner then I could have saved myself several hundred dollars and many hours of cooking!lol
