Spicy Garlic Shrimp

- 4 garlic cloves - minced shopping list
- 3 Tblspn white wine shopping list
- 2 Tblspn chicken broth shopping list
- 4 tsp olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1 lb frozen, peeled medium/large shrimp - thawed shopping list
- 1 red bell pepper - cut into thin strips shopping list
- 1 tsp corn starch shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium bowl, combine the garlic, wine, broth, oil, salt & red pepper flakes.
- Add the shrimp & toss to coat. Set aside to marinate for about 5 minutes.
- Lightly grease a non-stick skillet & warm over medium/high heat
- Add the bell pepper & cook for 1 min to soften slightly
- Add the shrimp & all but 1 Tblspn of the marinade.
- Cook for 2 mins or until the shrimp turn pink on the bottom
- Turn the shrimp over & cook for 1 - 2 mins longer or until the shrimp are opaque
- In a cup, dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining 1 Tblspn of marinade
- Push the shrimp to one side of the skillet & stir the cornstarch into the sauce in the center of the skillet
- Cook for 1 min until the sauce is slightly thickened
- Mix with shrimp & serve immediately
