How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
  • In mixing bowl, beat, cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth
  • Separate dough into 8 rectangles, pressing perforations to seal
  • Spread each rectangle with 2 tbls. cream cheese mixture
  • Starting at long side, roll up each rectangle, pinching edges and ends to seal
  • Gently stretch each roll out about 10 inches
  • Coil each roll into a spiral with seam on inside, tucking end under
  • Make deep indentation in center of each roll
  • Fill with preserves or jam
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes...until golden brown
  • Glaze
  • Blend all glaze ingredients in mixing bowl, adding enough milk for drizzle consistency
  • Drizzle glaze over warm rolls

    I can't believe that the dough will stretch a full 10 inches but I'm going to give this a try! I'm always looking for easy "danish" recipes and this one sounds just great! Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us here!
