Crescent Roll Danish

- 1 8 oz. cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tbls. lemon juice shopping list
- 2 cans crescent rolls ( 8 oz.) shopping list
- 1/4 cup preserves or jam , your choice of flavor ( Okay, I'm a nutella lover and have made these using it with a sprinkle of hazelnuts) shopping list
- glaze shopping list
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 2 to 3 tbls. milk shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
- In mixing bowl, beat, cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth
- Separate dough into 8 rectangles, pressing perforations to seal
- Spread each rectangle with 2 tbls. cream cheese mixture
- Starting at long side, roll up each rectangle, pinching edges and ends to seal
- Gently stretch each roll out about 10 inches
- Coil each roll into a spiral with seam on inside, tucking end under
- Make deep indentation in center of each roll
- Fill with preserves or jam
- Bake for 20-25 minutes...until golden brown
- Glaze
- Blend all glaze ingredients in mixing bowl, adding enough milk for drizzle consistency
- Drizzle glaze over warm rolls
