How to make it

  • Mix sugar, eggs, and buttermilk in mixing bowl
  • mix well
  • Add dry ingredients and mix well
  • add oil and mix well
  • Pour into greased 9x13 baking pan
  • bake for 25-30 min in preheated oven at 400 degrees.
  • Use toothpick to test for doneness.

    This was really good with some chili and also great with some butter and honey...yum :) The only changes I made were that I halved the recipe, used half white whole wheat flour, and I baked it it a 9" pie plate because my 9x9 pan is out of comission....anyway, mine got over baked just a tad (my fault) so was just a bit dry at the edges, but was still very good :)
