Never Fail Macaroni Salad

Recipe by Marriage: Never Fail Macaroni Salad
It's a good salad. Lots of flavors. Used a homemade Copycat Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix. I thought there was going to be too much mayo in the mix but it turned out just fine.
No pic. Used standard spiral pasta. It's what I had.
Ground up the veggies pretty fine using a food processor.

This is an interesting recipe, like the addition of the Good Seasons..I was going to ask about the amount of mayo used..seems like a lot..I use no where near that when I make mac salad..just wondering!!!

WOW...1 quart mayo for 1 lb of pasta does seem like A LOT!! I couldn't imagine, but if Points says it's good, then I guess it's good!

Okay.I clicked on both recipes. They look easy to do.Even though that I don't use mayo like most people does. but I'll give them a try my ownself..I had a few of them ingredients in my head for the Never Fail Macaroni Salad but the person gave me an good ideal though.

Well you found me out. I did use Miracle Whip and I did use the whole jar. And it did taste good with the whole jar.
OK that's another lie! Use a knock off salad dressing that tastes a lot like Miracle Whip because Miracle Whip has doubled in price in the last year or so which I can not abide. The same thing goes for Velveeta. When they drop them down to pre-spike prices (which they do from time to time) I will buy them again.

I tried one time to do that. Never did come out right. Maybe it's time to revisit.

Sorry here Points, but perhaps now that the price of Velveeta is so high in your neck of the woods, you may want to revisit the Homemade Velveeta :-)

My biggest concern is the keeping time of the home made stuff in the fridge. The store bought salad dressing and pasteurized processed cheese spread seem to last forever. I only get drying out issues from the spread and nothing from the dressing.
