Turkey Bread Centerpiece

  • lovebreezy 15 years ago
Made this last Turkey Day but forgot to review or post photos of it 'til now.

It was really easier than I thought and was fun to make and show off.

We used it for display only but next time will be sure to rip him apart and enjoy every morsel. :-)

I also think that I will divide the dough and make 2 smaller breads -- OR wouldn't that be fun if everyone had their own little turkey bread?

LB...That photo is so cool! Great job!!!

I love the idea of making small ones so that everyone can have their own turkey! But that would be a lot of work!

Thanks for showing us the cute recipe!:)

Thanks Lil but that's not my photo.

I asked Annieamie (the poster of the recipe), for permission to post my (not so great) photos but she has not responded yet.

I just don't like to post photos to other's recipes without their permission first.

I'll let you know if and when I do post though.

There are recipes for easter bunny bread on GR too.

    Hey Diamond Lil,

Just wanted you to know that I finally posted the photos to the recipe.

I always like to ask permission first before I post to someone elses recipes. When I first joined GR I was chatting with another foodie and she mentioned that, that was her pet peeve here (people posting photos to others...)

I also ran into the GR posting glitch. I'm sure glad those photos didn't show up as many times as I tried to post them.

Now they aren't as pretty as the submitters original photo but I have excuses. :-)

LOL...'Diamond Lil'... I do love my diamonds!

Your pics look pretty good! If it wouldn't of browned so much it would of looked just as good as the original! Great job LB!!!

Thanks for showing me...I think I'll have to try that! Maybe I can serve it with a spinach dip as an appetizer!

Your pictures came out pretty good! I loved the look of that recipe, but chickened out on making it! Now you proved that it is possible.
About adding pictures to other people's recipes. I always do that without asking for permission. I did get a couple responses that were a bit puzzled and said they didn't even know that people could add pictures to someone else's recipe. Maybe I should start asking for permission too.

I never ask either...I figure they could just delete the photo if they don't like it.

    Hi Guys,

I'm not sure about anyone else, but my "edit step by step photos" doesn't work. For the most part, I love the photos people have added to my recipes but I can't delete them even if I wanted to.. I can change the main photo but not any of the others. Just sayin....;-)~~

I would love to know if other members can delete photos off there recipes...

You know what...you're right Jim! I just checked and I couldn't delete the 'step by step' photos!!! There's an option for that, but it doesn't work! You can delete or change the main photo though. Oh well...I'll still add my photos to the recipes I make because that's the only way to have it show up on my photo page. And I need to have them on my photo page for reference.

Glad you enjoyed the pics. The family got a good chuckle out of it. I had a little art easel that I put a clean towel over and set the turkey bread on that. Then I printed out a sign and attached it to the towel.

Remember there is a rabbit bread recipe on GR too. Maybe you’ll try it.

I don't take many pictures but I always ask before I post something on someone elses page....I figure if their name is on that page, the courteous thing to do is ask first....Besides, I've seen wars here in the past that have involved people putting disrespectful pics up on others recipe pages....Like JIm said, just sayin....:)

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who thinks this. I was beginning to think that perhaps I was being too anal. I do over think things at times. Then there are those times when I don’t think enough before I act. I also won't rate a recipe unless I've tried it.
