Good Morning Everyone! Wishing you all a fabulous Thursday.

I love these silhouette pictures of LD sitting on the hassock in front of the window looking out. I wonder what thoughts he has ... ?

I see Michelle is going to start a new I.M.I group. Thanks Michelle!! I'm looking forward to it.

Just a usual day here, again. After Kenpo this afternoon we will come home and get LD and we will all go out for pizza and salad. It's my bday ... celebrating 54 and how can DH and I go out without our best boy. Not sure if we will go to a local place or take a little ride and go to California Pizza Kitchen in Naples. We will see what the weather will be like later.

It's a lovely fall morning here in the Ottawa Valley. Lawn mowing is on my agenda today plus I need to do a Costco run as well. Thinking of making
Leeky Chicken
for dinner this evening to use up the last two leeks I bought recently.

You'll have been up and at 'em for a while now Karen and looking forward to yet another busy day. Good luck to Wayne getting the last of the hay in.

Good luck mowing the lawn Janet, SO glad we got that over with yesterday!

Going to get to the gym, then I have a baby shower gift to get for Saturday and also I need to get Caiden’t Cub Scout Uniform. Cub Scouts is already more expensive than Girl Scouts. The full uniform is a $100 bucks. The popcorn they sell is ridiculously expensive and I don’t know how we are going to sell much, especially since he is selling candy bars for school also and Bri is constantly fundraising. I know family and friends are going to start getting aggravated with us always hitting them up to buy stuff :

Think I am going to do a homemade pizza tonight, I would like to use the crust FA posted in the IMI a couple days ago Forgot The Dough Pizza Dough but I kind of am wanting a yeast dough at the same time plus I need a new recipe to post in the new IMI :) I may stop and get pepperoni, but I do have some Italian sausage that would be good on it, I would just have to leave a spot without it as Bri doesn’t like it. Caiden has a soccer game and Bri has softball from 5:30-9, yikes! Dinner will be very early :) Have a great day everyone!!!

Hey! When I first read your post it did not include the part about it being your birthday!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA! Pizza is fun birthday food. Hope the weather is perfect for the outing! I checked out the menu. I like the looks of the Roasted Garlic chicken pizza. They have a huge selection of all sorts of food! Have a wonderful day!

Ouch on the price of the cub scout uniform Michelle! That's a lot and especially for kids are growing and might soon outgrow it. Whatever you decide to do for IMI will be perfect and appreciated. Have fun at the kid's games.

I mash them and add lots of butter and cream or boil them and make sure they are in small cubes then add lots of butter and cream.

I think you will be a good IMI moderator as well, Michelle. You have quite a bit to do today! I don't remember how much any uniforms I needed were, probably b/c my Mom never mentioned it to me. Have fun shopping for a baby shower gift and homemade pizza is the best! Enjoy the kids games.

I have to go pick up a few things at the store this afternoon and that is about it. We are having pork chops for dinner but I am not sure about the sides yet.

Hi Michelle, yikes on the Boy Scouts price! I was thinking the same thing with IMI, would we link to the old IMI? I guess once someone does make another recipe that already had an old IMI link we could just reference it? I make mini pizzas with my flatbread recipe all the time, you'd need some yogurt though No Yeast Flat Bread

I'm the big 4-0 today! I thought I'd be a lot more freaked out about turning 40, but it was much easier than when I turned 30, lol! We're going to stay in and order Chinese food. I asked Pete to pick me up my favorite cherry cheesecake for dessert. Even though I love cheesecake, cream cheese doesn't like me or the kids so we will double up on the lactaid pills! But I just have to have it. I usually get key lime or coconut pie for my Birthday, but I felt like cheesecake :) I wish I could stay in my PJ's all day today and relax, but I have a few errands to run this afternoon.

Ugh on the Cub Scout uniform! How do they expect kids from poorer families to afford it? I know when I left Girl Scouts we sold my stuff to a neighbor whose daughter was younger, at a not very high price. She wouldn't accept it as a gift, so Mom just asked a tiny amount ... don't recall how much.

Today we let Trouble go outside for a while. She was supposed to be a barn cat so it is time to let her do her thing. She can not go out during the evening until we see how she does with Geezer, although the little imp seems to be able to hold her own against the others just fine! Wayne didn't want Mel out at night either, he is afraid of raccoons, coyotes, owls, etc. getting him. So am I, but we can't shield him from everything out there.

I put no- slip contact shelf liner in the RV, forgot to do the island/ table unit so will be back again this afternoon! Still have to stock the kitchen etc. ( It would be embarrassing to run out of t.p. in the middle of nowhere ....ha ha!). A.C. Was outside and tried to break in to it when h realized we were inside.

Have a good day, it is about time for lunch and I need to check the pasta dish.

Chinese food is great birthday food Shona. Enjoy! What's your favourite dish? I think the 30's and 40's age brackets are great fun. I wish you could have stayed in your P.J.'s all day too but good luck with your errands. Cherry cheesecake sounds wonderful. I used to like those little Sara Lee frozen ones when I was a kid. :) My Mom never made cheesecake.

I've never heard of soft serve vanilla custard Linda but it sounds yummy. How does it differ from soft serve vanilla ice cream? And now you have me wanting a chocolate dipped soft ice cream cone from Dairy Queen!!!! LOL!

Hi Karen! I think I have my girl guide uniform down in the basement somewhere or at least my scarf/sling thing with the badges sewn on it. Don't remember about my Brownie uniform but it may be down there too. :) It sounds like fun setting up 'house' in the RV.

I had a total change of plans since this morning. We ended up having a lovely long Skype call with Benjamin until 12:30, so by then I didn't feel like running into town and coming home to mow, so I decided to forego the Costco trip until tomorrow and I got one of the lawns done. Now I'm bored of mowing so may go do some weeding. JIm's doing a good job filling in the trench and while he's got everything unearthed he's also doing some extra mouse proofing underneath the edge of the siding near the bottom. Easier to get to when the shrubs and hostas are out of the way.

I think what you are saying and what am thinking Janet are the same thing ... all I know is the ice cream is soft and comes out of a machine in a twist from Dairy Queen (or up North is was Carvel). I like vanilla plain or sometimes with some chocolate jimmies on one side.

Pizza was great, salad was great, and I got my small soft ice cream on the way home that we all shared even though I got the "lion's share" ... :)

We just call them chocolate sprinkles. :) What kind of pizza did you choose Linda? When you first said that you loved CPK's Chopped Italian salad, I thought that was what you were having as your meal. :) In my head I was thinking that didn't sound like a birthday celebration type thing AND that you had WAY better willpower than I. :) LOLOL.

DH and I split the salad first ... it's so good, I could make a meal out of just it and be happy. Next we split a thin crust margarita pie, well done, with sausage, mushrooms (on my half), and extra fresh basil all over. Believe me, the salad has nothing to do with willpower, it's just fabulous!

I'd add more but it's been one of those days! Had car trouble..but got it fixed..after waiting by the side of the road for AAA to show up to tow me to my mechanic..quick easy fix..so I'm happy now:) Just TIRED!!

Hi Janet, I'm not sure what my favorite thing is, I guess it depends where we order from. This local place here has really good pineapple chicken, like sweet n sour sauce but with pineapple instead of plums...so yummy! We usually get the pork dumplings, fried rice, ginger beef hot pot and they have this awesome peppered tempura with Szechuan peppercorns that's a favorite too.

I am absolutely stuffed!! We ordered too much and will have leftovers tomorrow night for sure! :)
