How to make it

  • Pre-heated oven to 325 degrees.
  • Sift flour, confectioners' sugar and salt together.
  • Cream butter.
  • Fold in dry ingredients and gently mix thoroughly.
  • Stir in almond extract and finely ground almonds.
  • Chill for easier handling.
  • Shape dough into balls.
  • Place on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Flatten into circles with the bottom of a drinking glass.
  • Bake in a slow 325 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown.
  • Remove from baking sheets immediately and cool on racks.
