Ingredients

How to make it

  • Rolls: Dissolve the yeast in the milk in a large bowl.
  • Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well. Knead til smooth.
  • Place in a large greased bowl. Cover, let rise til doubled, about one hour.
  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  • Roll dough out into a rectangle 21x16 1/4 inch thick.
  • Spread with the butter and sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the butter, leaving a 1/2 inch margin.
  • Roll up into a cylinder, the long way. Cut into 1 3/4 inch slices. Place into a greased 9x13 pan. Lightly spray the tops with Pam or something similar. Let rise about 30 minutes, covered.
  • Bake 10-15 minutes, until light brown on top.
  • Combine the icing ingredients until fluffy. When the rolls come out of the oven, spread over the top.

I've made this now 8 times and it is, honestly, the easiest and best recipe I've used so far! The dough is extremely easy to work with and the ingredients are simple enough to keep in your cupboards year round at all times. Thank you again for posting this!

I haven't been able to taste these yet (they're rising right before I bake them) but I can already tell this recipe is great just by the way the dough behaves! Thank you so much for posting. You saved my Saturday morning feeding the girls @ work!

Love these!!!!!!!! A quick tip to easily cut your rolls take some thread n double it up, slide thread under dough to desired roll thickness , cross thread ends over each other n pull, perfect slices everytime, without smashing your rolls, been cutting rolls like this since I was a kid.

Hi..I was a busy woman yesterday with two of your recipes. I made these cinnamon rolls and your cracked wheat French bread. These cinnamon rolls are *simply wonderful* and the cream cheese icing is a real "keeper" for me. I'm going to put some raisins in the dough next time (I'm a raisin freak. . ), but the rolls are great just as they are. And they are simple to make. Thanks so much for making my family so happy! Chris
