Feta, Lemon, Dill Slather

I got this recipe out of a Food and Drink Magazine-Spring 2009. My son loves this spread on open-faced whole-wheat baguette with fresh garden tomatoes strewn on top. Smoked salmon would be another great topping. Read more You can use this slather as a spread for sandwiches, on crackers for canapés or as a filling for large cherry tomatoes or scooped out cucumber slices! Enjoy! Ingredients
- 8 oz. feta cheese, crumbled shopping list
- 3 tbsp. olive oil shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- Finely grated peel of 1 lemon shopping list
- 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice shopping list
- Generous grinding of black pepper shopping list
- 3 tbsp. freshly chopped dill shopping list
- 2 tbsp. snipped chives or 1 small green onion, thinly sliced shopping list
How to make it
- Place feta, oil, garlic, peel, lemon juice and pepper in a food processor.
- Whirl until it starts to blend together but still has texture.
- Stir in dill and chives until mixed.
