How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Mix all of the spices and whisk in olive oil. Coat drumsicks in mix and add to a baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes.
  • Meanwhile Preheat grill.
  • To make BBQ sauce: Heat oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, cumin and chile powder and saute until the onions are soft. Add malt vinegar and deglaze scraping the bottom of the saucepan. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer until slightly thickened. Transfer to blender and blend until smooth. Put in a bowl and stir in chopped cilantro. Refrigerate until needed.
  • When the drumsticks are done in the oven, place them on the hot, oiled grill for 10 to 15 minutes until they have a nice crispy skin. Remove and enjoy! Either drizzle BBQ sauce, dip or even dunk the whole thing in! Its yummy no matter what you do!

I made these last night for dinner, and OMG they are delicious! I used your cajun spice mix recipe and added oregano. I also used a package of fryer chicken and doubled up the bbq recipe. This will be my go-to recipe for bbq sauce now! I love the smoky, spicy, sweet flavor they balance each other out perfect. Thanks for sharing!
