Muffin-pan Potato Gratins

- unsalted butter(for greasing) shopping list
- 2 med. russet potatoes (about 3/4 lb ea),thinly sliced shopping list
- coarse salt shopping list
- fresh ground black pepper shopping list
- 6 TB heavy cream shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400'
- Lightly brush 6 standard muffin cups with room temperature unsalted butter. Place 2 slices of potato in each cup and season with salt and pepper. Continue adding potatoes,seasoning every few slices,until cups are filled.
- Pour 1 TB cream over each.
- Bake till are golden brown and tender when pierced with a knife,30-35 mins.
- Run a thin knife around each gratin. Place baking sheet or large plate over pan and invert to release gratins. Flip right side up and serve.

This is a great idea! But I think I'll try subbing 2% milk and a few dots of butter instead of the heavy cream...

I forgot to rate this when I made it, so I'm rating it now! I topped mine with sour cream and salsa. Yummy!

I made these in a ramekin as well. They were so good and easy! I think some onion would be great in them. Added my picture although it isn't as pretty as the others. I had guests and was in a hurry! :)
