Twinkie-Misu

- ¼ cup water shopping list
- ½ cup sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup brewed espresso shopping list
- ¼ cup Italian brandy shopping list
- 1 ½ cup heavy cream shopping list
- ¼ cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 lb. mascarpone cheese shopping list
- 12 Twinkies, sliced ½-inch thick (crosswise) shopping list
- cocoa powder for light dusting shopping list
How to make it
- Combine water and sugar in small saucepan.
- Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally to dissolve sugar.
- Remove from heat, cool and add coffee and brandy.
- Whip cream, sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Fold cream into softened mascarpone until blended.
- Place a layer of the Twinkie slices in the bottom of a shallow 2-quart baking dish.
- Drizzle with half the espresso syrup.
- Spread with half the mascarpone filling.
- Repeat with remaining twinkies, syrup and mascarpone filling.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
