Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put potatoes in a large pan and cover with water. Add garlic.
  • Bring to a boil and continue to boil for about 12-15 minutes, until fork tender.(this is assuming you've diced your potatoes into 1inch pieces, or so. Larger pieces will take longer :)
  • Drain well then immediately put back in bowl(or the bowl of your stand mixer, if desired) and add the butter and wasabi sauce.
  • Mash or mix well.
  • Add milk as desired while mashing until desired consistency.
  • Add chives and salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Serve immediately.

I made this for Keni Cooking Day 01/25/2015. It's delish! I always seem to have wasabi horseradish in the fridge and never thought to put it in mashed potatoes! We served this with Keni's Slavinkeni mini meatloaves, Slavinkeni perfect! :)

I made a similar recipe last summer and I had forgotten until now how much I like the taste of wasabi in my tators. And, the addition of chives made this dish even better. I served these with your Grilled Asian Catfish and your Grilled Sesame Green Beans and the entire meal was a big hit. You will not only be missed but you were loved. R.I.P friend.
