Creamy Wasabi And Chive Mashed Potatoes

- 1 1/2lbs raw potatoes, peeled and diced shopping list
- 4-5 cloves garlic whole but smashed a lil bit shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter, room temp shopping list
- about 1/2 cup milk, room temp(may need a lil more or less depending on type of potato and desired consistency) shopping list
- 4-6T creamy wasabi sauce(this isn't a 100% wasabi paste, it's a creamy condiment that adds a few other ingredients and sometimes uses regular horseradish as well as wasabi) shopping list
- a handful of fresh chives, snipped shopping list
- kosher or sea salt and fresh ground pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Put potatoes in a large pan and cover with water. Add garlic.
- Bring to a boil and continue to boil for about 12-15 minutes, until fork tender.(this is assuming you've diced your potatoes into 1inch pieces, or so. Larger pieces will take longer :)
- Drain well then immediately put back in bowl(or the bowl of your stand mixer, if desired) and add the butter and wasabi sauce.
- Mash or mix well.
- Add milk as desired while mashing until desired consistency.
- Add chives and salt and pepper and mix well.
- Serve immediately.
