  • 12 tbsp softened butter (1.5 sticks)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup dark brown molasses
  • Mix in
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4-5 oz dark chocolate (best with a high cocoa content, e.g. 70%) (melted)
  • 1 tbsp Triple Sec or Grand Marnier (optional)
  • 2 tbsp black cocoa
  • 1 tbsp normal cocoa
  • Once this is well mixed, add
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1/2 cup dried zante currants (golden raisins can be used instead)
  • Slowly fold in until mixed
  • 1 1/2 cups flour

Directions
  1. Use a cookie sheet that is **lightly greased** so cookies do not stick.
  2. Cook in a 300-350 F oven for 8-9 minutes
  3. They are easy to overcook, as the batter is so dark it is hard to tell if the bottoms have become burnt.

Awesome!

I've made stuff like this, but the colored marshmellows are a new idea. Question: I was always told that if there's butter in the recipe, the sheet doesn't need to be greased. Does this just need extra? Also, if there's cheesecake mix swirled in, won't it take longer to cook and risk burning the cookie? Just curious, I could be wrong.

For *Splat* question...*lightly greased* for the variations on the *master recipe*...depending what the baker would want to add, plus with addin's, watch the cookies a couple of extra minutes so they won't burn.

This is such a great cookie! It has seasonal variety! Tops! *wink*

Great name...awesome cookie recipe ;-) cheers...and though I'm from ny (please don't hold that against me) - I see who YOU are voting to win on Sunday lol...

OMG... how did I miss these...

I can't wait to try these. I don't even know if there will be any left by the time my family comes home. Might have to double the batch to cover up my evil ways. =-}
