Sounds great What is Evoo? Sounds like some kind of olive oil veg. spread

OH sorry it is a abbreviation for Extra Virgin Olive Oil ....been watching rachael ray too much !

Queen this is good... I make them all the time. I never use anything but olive oil.. makes them crispy! change up your breads and cheeses too... Yummy I will eat anything that does not jump off my plate.. and love to try new ideas all the time..

Wow these sound wonderful. Thanks for posting.

Sounds like a great recipe Midge!

Ahhhhhh, This is what I love to fix for my lunch! I have a Pannini maker and boy is it fast! yummm thanks Queenie..

Midge, I hope you don't mind me calling you Queenie??

No not at all ! i answer to just about anything .

Yes....The EVOO makes a big difference.

Yeah! I can finally get my husband to agree to grilled cheese and soup on quick nights again! Thanks

EVOO actually got added to the newest version of the dictionary! I saw Rachel Ray get her certificate of acknowledgment, so its' officially a word :)

I have made this open-faced under the broiler also

How cool that its a word now ! love that ! =)

Excellent! :)

Oh this is great. I've had the basil, tomato and mozzerella sandwich but I've never grilled it with EVOO.

When I was a little kid I started sprinkling my grilled cheese with Italian seasoning before popping it into the pan. I guess the oregano made me feel pizza-ish back then. Your recipe is reminiscent of that and has to be yummy - basil always is.

This sounds great. I love to mess with grilled cheese sandwiches. Sometimes I slip in a little spaghetti or pizza sauce and a few slices of pepperoni, or Italian seasoning and a little parmesan cheese. Yours sounds like so much more. And if evoo makes the bread crispy, I may have to convert from butter.

Great tasty recipe thanks bunches

This is the way I make my grilled cheese in the summer when I have all fresh ingredients from my garden.
Perfection!
Five forks and a smile :)
