How to make it

  • Grease a baking sheet, and set aside. In a glass bowl, combine peanuts, sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Cook in microwave for 6 to 7 minutes on High (700 W); mixture should be bubbly and peanuts browned. Stir in butter and vanilla; cook 2 to 3 minutes longer.
  • Quickly stir in baking soda, just until mixture is foamy. Pour immediately onto greased baking sheet. Let cool 15 minutes, or until set. Break into pieces, and store in an airtight container.

I made this yesterday and it was VERY good! And so VERY easy to make! It has such a nice buttery flavor considering it only has 1 Tbls. of butter! The only change I made was to use roasted and chopped almonds instead of peanuts! I can't stop eating this! Great recipe! I added my photo! =)

I haven't tried this yet, but I will. I love the fact that you have given your oven wattage, since this does make a differnece in the lenght of time to cook. My oven is 1100, which of course is quite different from your 700 watt. I wish more folks would list their oven wattage in their recipes.
