Pa Dutch Old Fashioned Green Beans And Bacon

Ingredients
- 3/4 lb. green beans shopping list
- 8 slices bacon shopping list
- 2 medium potatoes, pared and cut into 1/2 in. pieces shopping list
- 1 small onion, sliced shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- Cook green beans in a small am't of boiling , salted water 10 to 15 min. or until just tender.
- Dice the bacon and fry until crisp. Add green beans and remaining ingredients to bacon and cook, covered, about 15 min. or until potatoes are tender.

We had this dish many times a month when I was growing up! Everything came out of our garden and it was delicious...well, except for the bacon.
It's funny how somethings just stay around and are just as good now as then.
