Sooo good! I love garlic and ginger! Oh.. and the bourbon! LOL!

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 4 to 6 medium cloves of garlic, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 1/2 to 3 pounds chicken parts

Directions
  1. Amounts can be enlarged depending on the amount of chicken to be
  2. marinated. Spread chicken skin side up on a flat pan one layer after
  3. marinating for a couple of hours. The longer it marinates, the
  4. stronger the flavor.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°. Bake chicken for about 45 minutes, until done.
  6. You can use this marinade for grilled or broiled chicken as well

I love bourbon chicken, and this recipe is easier -- but still keeps the taste elements. Thanks for the post, Mellian!


I seem to be on a ginger kick these days. This recipe should fit right in!


Wondering if I could replace the bourbon with Rye Whiskey or Scotch....I don't have any Bourbon.


Sasha sunshine may I suggest the Rye. A Scottish friend of mine might come after you with his Claymore, should you use a good Scotch. With him it's no ice either.
